The Blacklock Point Trail is one of the best hikes in the Bandon area. Locating it is easy but there are no signs telling of it’s existence. Thus, it receives relatively little use. The trail is about 1 mile more or less each way. If one takes a little trip toward Floras Lake, it will add mileage.
The trail begins along the airport, enters into thick timber, before finally opening onto a bluff overlooking the Ocean and the Sixes river to the South. Although one will run across a couple of camp sites at the end of the trail, Camping is not permitted in this area.
